Telescopic Handler

1. Points on what to consider when using the item….
- Do you have a license / ticket to operate the machine?
- Be aware of your surroundings as the Telescopic Handler is very large.
- Make sure no one walks under the elevated load.
2. Who can use it (anyone, specialists)?
If you’re using it on a work cover site, you must be ticketed/licensed to operate the Telescopic Handler.
3. What is it used for?
The Telescopic Handler can have many uses, here are a few:
- Using the fork tines the Telescopic Handler can lift, shift and relocate pallets of materials up to 2.8 tonne.
- Using the optional forklift jib the Telescopic Handler can lift, shift and relocate pipes, compressors, generators and any other large pieces of equipment.
- Using the optional 4 in 1 bucket, the Telescopic Handler can now be used to relocate soil, stones, blue metal, or even dump it in tipper trucks.
- The telescopic handler is an all terrain 4×4 vehicle and suits sites where forklifts can’t get access.
4. What other attachments can be hired?
The Telescopic Handler comes with fork tines as standard. We do have the option to hire a forklift jib or a 4 in 1 bucket.
5. Should any safety items be considered before using it?
- Make sure you have a clear set path of where you plan to travel.
- Always move/transport loads at the lowest possible height.
- Always check blind spots before reversing.
- Make sure all tyres are inflated to the right pressures.
- Always beep horn before taking a blind corner.
6. Is it easy to transport?
Camden Hire’s Telescopic Handler comes in two sizes, the 2.5 Tonne and 2.8 Tonne. It must be transported by a tilt tray truck. It is too heavy and too big to be transported via a trailer.
7. What are some of the specifications of the Telescopic Handler?
- Maximum capacity of 2.8 tonne.
- Capacity at maximum height on tyres of 2 tonne.
- Maximum lifting height on tyres is 6.35m.
- Four wheel drive.
- Maximum speed is 40km/hr.
